Raven & the Dove created and performed 8 shows within the Blackwood Chamber of Buchan’s Fairy Cave for the 2024 East Gippsland Winter Festival.
Original music written specifically for the show along with immersive visual projections, soundscapes and spoken word - all set amongst the natural ambience and acoustics of the chamber, combined with lighting design and video projections illuminated across the rock walls.

A single drop is never insignificant - it creates a cavern, a chasm, a crucible, a chrysalis, a cocoon – a space for us to metamorphosize, like butterflies
Inspired by the 380-million-year-old limestone landscape, SUBTERRANE is an intimate and immersive experience, inviting audiences to explore the dreamlike threshold between worlds: above and below, inside and outside. The constant 17-degree warmth of the cave offers a womblike atmosphere to experience a metamorphosis.
